In the late 1930s, Ettore Bugatti developed an aircraft, the Bugatti 100, initially for the Coupe Deutsch de Meurthe and later for an attempt upon the World Speed Record. This aircraft never flew as a consequence of WW2.
In 2010 a group of enthusiasts, led by Scotty Wilson, set out to build a replica and to prove it in flight. This was done in late 2015.
Luckily I was allowed access to all data and was able to reverse engineer the configuration of this beautiful aircraft.
However, on 6 August 2016 the aircraft crashed killing Scotty.
This section is therefore dedicated to Scotty's memory.
